Bakuchiol | Extract derived from the seeds of the babchi plant, a plant that grows on the plains of India. It is a powerful antioxidant widely used in ancient Ayurvedic medicine for its powerful effects in the treatment of various skin problems. It is called “Kustanashini” in Indian Ayurvedic medicine, which means “destroyer of leprosy”. It is well known as a vegan plant-based alternative to retinol, achieving similar results, such as increasing cell renewal, stimulating collagen production and reducing hyperpigmentation, while calming the skin. Unlike retinol, it doesn’t increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun, making it suitable for daytime use (even so, we recommend using sunscreen before exposing the skin to the sun’s rays).
